The Ferguson Valley is set amongst a majestic backdrop of lush green rolling hills

Just a short, 2 hour drive from Perth, and only a 20 minute drive from Bunbury, the Ferguson Valley is situated in the heart of the Geographe Wine Region amongst rolling hills, streams, pastures, forests and of course vineyards. There are many attractions including wineries, boutique breweries, accommodation, restaurants, cafes and art galleries. The Wellington Discovery Forest and Crooked Brook Forest has many bush walking trails, and Mount Lennard has one of the states best mountain bike trail systems.

The Geographe wine region is large and diverse, bordered on the west by Geographe Bay, it extends from Yarloop and Harvey in the north to Busselton in the south, and inland to Donnybrook and Collie. The Geographe Region was established in 1999 and is fast developing into one of Australia’s most exciting wine areas.

Varieties that have flourished in the Geographe Wine region include Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Other alternative varieties that are making a name for themselves are Tempranillo and Nebbiolo.
